Despite its manor-like name, this Daydream-associated ghost story takes the form of an exhibition. Its welcome conceals a disturbing economy: visitors who cannot pay may lose parts of their bodies.
01Inside the exhibition
The fan reference describes galleries, ushers and devices offered to supplement visitors' senses. Visitor testimony sits alongside the exhibition's own reassuring explanations. What appears to be a cultural visit becomes a question of what the guest owes and what the institution can take.
02An invitation that edits the record
The source identifies an unusual documentary feature: attempts to record the encounter are transformed into an invitation from the exhibition. Reports of danger are therefore entangled with the venue's promotional voice. Its page preserves visitor accounts, exhibition corrections and information about the staff.
03Editorial reading: who is speaking?
This case rewards close attention to a sentence's speaker. A courteous assurance from the venue and a visitor's frightened account can describe the same space while serving opposing interests. In our reading, that collision makes the document itself part of the horror: the place seems able to manage its reputation even while evidence of harm accumulates.
A useful way to follow the record is to separate invitation, testimony and editorial interruption. Ask how each voice describes the visitor: guest, customer, witness or something to be collected. Those roles reveal the exhibition's logic without requiring a room-by-room retelling.

Read The Clown Hates You for another encounter organized around displayed images. A Fun Theme Park! provides a comparison in the language of hospitality and entertainment. Daydream Inc. reconnects the case with the organization documenting and using it.
